Parish Description
Looking at the parishes in Gainesville, there is St. Patrick in the Eastside (east of 441), St. Augustine at the University of Florida, and Queen of Peace in the growing westside (west of I-75). Then, there is our parish of Holy Faith at the very center or heart of the community of Gainesville.
Our constant call is to have Christ in the heart of all at Holy Faith. Then, we can have Christ’s heart (His love and compassion and justice) for the community of Gainesville and beyond for the world. The statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in front of our church building reminds us of this.
We are a diverse Catholic community of young and old, families and singles, of various incomes and backgrounds, with many talents and gifts to share together. We are a parish experiencing a new and exciting time of life: an "explosion" of life!
